32777 When export mode is enabled, the requested data is sent to the export file(s) each time a new media file is processed. Multiple files can be pre-loaded at once using the regular File Open dialog or by dragging and dropping them on the GSpot app. This is called "batch mode".~~ In batch mode, the files may be processed one at a time by hitting the "next file" menu item or button, or the "+" key. Also provided is an option to process all remaining files "non-stop". This option is only available when exporting is active, as it makes little sense to use it otherwise.

32782 To help avoid further unexpected crashes, collection of system codec information and rendering of files has been temporarily set to "disabled" in the preferences ("settings") dialog.\n\nYou may easily restore this setting at any time by re-ticking the "enable" checkbox near the top of the dialog. The settings dialog is displayed by choosing "Options > General" from the main menu.\n\nGSpot will now restart to regain stability.

32795 In the past, GSpot has been known to fail when used on certain systems. This is almost always due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers. As GSpot accesses them, GSpot itself appears to fail.~~ In this version, wherever possible, crashes are "intercepted" and an explanatory message is displayed. Furthermore, GSpot will attempt to identify which particular codec was the culprit, as sometimes a re-install or un-install of that codec will fix the problem (often for both for GSpot and the actual media player as well).~~ Note that GSpot can be configured to inhibit accessing codecs altogether; this will almost always prevent it from crashing. The tradeoff is the reduced amount of information available. For convenience, if a crash is detected, GSpot will now automatically change its configuration option to "Do not load codec info"; this may be changed back to the top (default) option at any time.

32798 -- With "Codec Preload" selected, GSpot saves a few seconds by automatically preloading audio and video codec info so it's available as soon as the file is examined. This is the default selection. With "No Preload" selected, GSpot works like earlier versions did, loading codec info just as it's needed.~~ -- When "Render on Request" selected, additional examination of the file by "rendering" (essentially attempting to "play" it) is initiated by clicking the new "Render" button. This is the default. With "Auto-Render" selected, GSpot behaves like earlier versions, automatically running a "render" test as soon as the file is opened.
